Rules of the trip.
1. Listen to what everyone says, and be fair about it.
2. Do not go off on your own. If you do, you will get into trouble with me.
3. Tempers run high at AX, why? Because it's something you've worked for a long time, and if it doesn't go just right, you get frustrated.
About this rule, take a chill pill people! No, we won't go see every event as planned if we plan it out, yes we will get to see movies, and do games, and go to gatherings(groups of people all from the same series) but we will not get to do everything.
So relax, and if there's something you ABSOLUTELY have to do, then tell the others, and more than likely we'll consider it.
4. There will be no running off from the group, and if you have to go to the bathroom, chances are someone else does too. The bathrooms are a wonderful thing, they have mirrors so you can check your wig, outfit, and everything! We will go into separate bathrooms, boys to one, and girls to another, this is the ONLY time we are allowed to separate as a group.
5. Do not ask for money from someone else, unless your a dollar short or something. This is understandable, and thus it can be helpful. But don't go overboard, and try to pay that person back.
6. Be respectful of each other at all time, and don't get hot under the collar just because your costume is making you overheat. If you need a break out of it, tell the group and we'll stop.
7. Every night, when we get back, cell phones go into the chargers and parents are called if need be. If it is 12 or so when we call it a night, we will not call parents, but we will call them when we get up in the morning. So if you don't hear from your child right away, do not freak out about it. Nothing is wrong, we just got in a little late.
8. There is to be no walking the streets at night alone. If we have to walk, we will all walk as a group. No one is to go off alone, this is a huge city, and we can get lost.
9. If we have enough money, we might stay another day, and go to China Town, which is right next to our hotel. This is only if it's alright by the parents, and the other kids.
This past year, we went to China Town after we did a lot of stuff at Day Zero. It was great, we got some excellent things there, including the umbrellas and fans that kept us cool all day for only five bucks. I still have mine, it's bright yellow and has a pretty peacock on the front. I used it every day we were down there, and I used it as a fan, opening and closing it in front of me to get plenty of wind going.
10. Talking to strangers is allowed. This is where we are all going to be in a group, so of course we're going to be having people asking us to take our pictures, or just randomly jump into a skit with them.
I got separated from my group last year because they went off while I was in the bathroom. I called them and they said they'd be right back so I went and waited against the wall. There I met an L, and through that L I met Light, Misa Misa, and even a couple people not in cosplay!
By the time my group found me I was having the most fun I'd had all Anime expo! Why?
I was cosplaying as Botan, who taunted L with sleeves made of cotton candy, tricked Light into handing over the Death Note, scared L to death by making demons come off of Light, and all of it was in front of a small audience who laughed and loved it. At the end of the 'skit' we had a Kakashi randomly walk in, and say 'hun, this seems all wrong. Botan, did you take a wrong turn again?....wait... how am I here?' and than walk off.
However, no one is being ditched, forgotten, and if someone seems thick headed, shout at them or smack them upside the head to get your point made. We are going as a group of friends, and that's that.

Re: Rules of the trip.
Well, there will be more rules added as we move along, and they all have a reason. We might divide into sub groups if our group gets too big, but I don't think it will really.
We can cram about... 10 people into each Hotel room, sure it'll be crowded, so we might end up renting out three rooms with there being a costume room, which means a bigger room. I'll post the information in the Hotel Costs thread.

Well I'm glad. The rules are there for not only a parent feeling better, but for all of us feeling safer and understanding everything that will be happening.
